The Child Dental Benefits Schedule will continue in 2022
The Australian Dental Association (ADA) has applauded announcement by the Turnbull Government and its Health Minister, Greg Hunt, to reinstate the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) cap to $1,026.

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule helps your child to grow up with a strong and beautiful smile. The CBDS is formerly known as the Medicare Teen Dental Plan. In January 2014, the new plan was implemented to provide financial support for the basic dental needs of children in eligible families.
EK Dental Surgery offers $1,013 of free dental care over a 2-year period for children eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule. The plan assists children between the ages of 2 and 17 years old.

Benefits are not available for high-end procedures such as orthodontics or cosmetic dental work. Benefits also cannot be paid for any services provided in a hospital.
Your child must be eligible for Medicare and the family should be in receipt of Tax Benefit Part A. They must also receive any of the following Government payments:
